The new park introduces a shaded play structure, basketball court, ramada, parking, and decorative landscape features. Cottage Grove WI opens the new All Wheels Park at Bakken Park!
Skaters, bmxers, scooter riders, etc rejoice…. the newest facility in Dane County is now open for all to use and enjoy at Bakken Park. Congratulations to the Village of Cottage Grove for an amazing park, we thank you for trusting us along the journey. It was a true pleasure to work with all of the team (Cottage Grove Parks and Rec, Strand, Spohn Ranch) on a job well done!
Central Park West opens with a bang in Two Rivers!
A huge thank you to the City of Two Rivers for trusting Parkitecture with the re-imagining of their central downtown park. A grand opening celebration occurred last weekend and included two days of amazing music, food, and socialization. And someone even was serenaded by the crowd on his birthday…
Belleville opens new Splashpad just in time for summer!
The Community of Belleville expanded their existing pool facility with the addition of a new splashpad, restroom, and shaded seating areas this spring. Stop by this summer and check out the new pad!
Shawano Plaza is officially honored! Welcome to "The Naberhood".....
Last week we stood side by side with the City of Shawano, Strand Associates, Martell Construction, and Peters Concrete to receive the 2023 Concrete Design Award from the WRMCA. The City also announced the newly chosen name for the Plaza which honors Franklin Naber, a prominent Shawano citizen. We are proud to have led the design effort for this new public space!
Bakken Skate Park is still 'rollin' along despite winter weather.
Residents of the Village of Cottage are anxiously awaiting spring weather to arrive in Wisconsin to see the completion of the new skate park and pump track at Bakken Park. Even with temps below freezing, work continues to progress onsite. Last week the light fixtures arrived and were assembled in preparation for installation this week. Nothing says Happy New Year like a new set of MUSCO lights! Stay tuned for more updates as the weather breaks in the spring…. in the meantime, replace those bearings and grip tape on your boards!
Village Park in Menomonee Falls is now open!
Word on the street is that our new park improvements at Village Park are “way awesome”….Thank you to the 8 year old who volunteered that feedback, we quite agree. The Village of Menomonee Falls invited us to finish what we started and complete the vision for the full re-imagination of their main destination park in the downtown. This phase of the project added a fully inclusive playscape, lighted splashpad, tennis and pickleball courts, parking, pathways, and a new shelter. This builds on the prior phase which provided an amphitheater with great lawn, beer garden, restroom building, and plaza.
Congratulations to the Village and community members on the rebirth and opening of this amazing public space! Thanks for a great collaboration.
Neenahs' Kimberly Point Park new waterfront pathway is anything but boring!
Keep your hands on the handlebars and enjoy the newest waterfront amenity in Neenah. The new lakeside path in Kimberly Point Park is now complete and provides a serpentine loop throughout the park with swinging benches overlooking the water. Come check out the new tabletop crosswalk and ADA access to the historic lighthouse. Thanks to the City Parks Department and Martell Construction for a great collaboration!
McFarland opens a new pickleball court complex!
Congratulations to the Village of McFarland on the newest addition to William McFarland Park. The new 8 court pickleball complex opened to the public this week and getting rave reviews!
Culver Community Park construction continues to shape up in preparation for Parktober Fest in Prairie du Sac!
The crews are moving as fast as they can racing the weather and calendar. The north shelter building is now enclosed, tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts are getting paved, and the trails are being prepared for asphalt. The skate park is 100% complete and the playground starts next week!
